Justin Chambers Leaves Grey’s Anatomy
Time to bid farewell to Dr. Alex Kerav. One of the longest on-screen members of Grey’s Anatomy is leaving. Where cast like Ellen Pompeo isn’t ready to call it quits with the iconic show, another cast member just left! Justin Chambers joined Grey’s Anatomy in 2005. That’s so long ago. 15 years, to be precise. However now, the actor seems to be preparing for a Good-Bye to this series. The reason for his departure is an interesting one. As per him, Chambers wants to explore and ‘diversify’ his lines, as he told Deadline in an interview.
There’s no good time to say goodbye to a show and character that’s defined so much of my life for the past 15 years,
For some time now, however, I have hoped to diversify my acting roles and career choices. And, as I turn 50 and am blessed with my remarkable, supportive wife and five wonderful children, now is that time.
Seems to us like Chambers has thought this decision thoroughly.
The Role Of Justin Chambers’ Fate.
Well, here’s a bummer. Dr. Alex has already had his last episode aired. His final appearance was already shown on your screens on November 14th according to TVLIne. This means the fate of the dear Dr. Alex is yet to be decided. The Character of Justin Chambers has a lot going on right now.
In the Fall Finale of the season, we see Kerav is not around to see his wife possibly adopt an orphaned infant. The reason that he is not able to be around is his sick mother. He is back with her, to tend to her till she gets better.
Many questions arise on how the ABC producers will play this out. Will he die in an accident? Will he take a long time with his mother? So many possibilities. Plenty of theories to look forward to. And then, of course, the actual truth.
We found this comment on an old photo posted by Justin Chambers and it kind of speaks for every Grey’s Anatomy fan.
Why did you have to leave!!!!!! Whyyyyyy you made everything so better and you grew I feel like little by little there taking a part of me every time they remove someone from greys anatomy.
Justin Chambers left a heartfelt parting gratitude note.
As I move on from Grey’s Anatomy, I want to thank the ABC family, Shonda Rimes, original cast members Ellen Pompeo, Chandra Wilson and James Pickens, and the rest of the amazing cast and crew, both past and present, and, of course, the fans for an extraordinary ride
We wish him Good Luck in his future endeavors. On the bright-side, Grey’s Anatomy is not going anywhere any time soon! ABC President, Karey Burke talks a possible season 18.
