Lizzie McGuire Revival is Dead?!
Oh, we were so excited for the Disney+Lizzie McGuire reboot. Our childhood memories were about to get revived and refreshed. And Hilary Duff was all set to return on the screen as Lizzie. But there’s bad news. We don’t know if we are even getting the reboot or not. This is a huge bummer for all fans, including ourselves. What are the details? Disney+ ‘Lizzie McGuire Revival’ No More?
On Disney Channel, from 2001 to 2004, the original series aired it’s two complete seasons produced by Disney Channel and Stan Rogow Productions. A movie sequel ‘The Lizzie McGuire Movie’ also released in 2003.
Here’s what happened now. The show’s production started in November 2019 when it’s return was officially announced. A number of cast members from the original show also returned including Adam Lamberg, Hallie Todd, Robert Carradine, and Jake Thomas.
However, the show’s original creator has just taken her exit from the reboot’s production. Terry Minsky had been the original creator of ‘The Lizzie McGuire’ series According to reports, she has stepped down from her position as show-runner from the new Disney+ series.
An official spokesperson for the channel said,
“Fans have a sentimental attachment to Lizzie McGuire and high expectations for a new series.
After filming two episodes, we concluded that we need to move in a different creative direction and are putting a new lens on the show
According to reports, two episodes had been filmed after the fall-out happened.

If there is a substitute for Terry Minsky, he/she has not been named so far.
The Future Of Lizzie McGuire Reboot
The show has currently been put on a hiatus. so the future of Disney+ ‘Lizzie McGuire revival’ is extremely hazy for now.
Meanwhile the show’s star Hilary Duff is honey-mooning with her new husband Matthew Koma in Mozambique.

We are hoping that another creator will step in and bring to us the much-awaited series. One other issue here is if a new creator would be able to create the same Lizzie McGuire character and vibe we grew up loving. In any case, our fingers are still crossed for the show’s revival.
