Upcoming Tenet Movie Has Over $200 Million Budget Apparently
Looks likes Christopher Nolan’s latest movie ‘Tenet’ will have high expectations as it is getting over $200 million in the budget. The highly anticipated, sci-fi film is either going to cost Warner Bros a lot of cash, or it is going to take the studios to greater heights. The trailer reveals nothing much, just some mindbending scenes playing in reverse (or we like to think of it). However, those who are fans of Nolan’s works know that his movie trailers are always confusing. But, people do claim that this film is going to be more like ‘Inception’ or ‘Memento’.
Basically Tenet Movie Is An Extension Of Nolan’s Relationship With WB
Nolan might be among the very few directors in the industry who have influenced the world with their movie-making magic. Critics also enjoy watching his movies and this is evident since his first movie back in 1998, titled ‘Following’. Perhaps his success peaked or at least gained considerable height when he worked on the Batman trilogy with Warner Bros. The Christian Bale project was so successful that Nolan continued working with WB to produce ‘Dunkirk’ and ‘Interstellar’. Interestingly, all of the director’s movies have been great hits in the entertainment world. This is why ‘Tenet’ also is gathering high expectations.
According to what Variety is reporting, the movie has a $205 million budget and needs to have a strong commercial impact in order to turn profits. It writes:
“If Nolan, along with stars John David Washington and Robert Pattinson can win over critics, “Tenet” could mark another success for both Nolan and the state of moviegoing.”
According to ScreenRant, we should also expect that this production budget figure of 200 will double its size just like Nolan’s previous movies. ‘Dunkirk’ was a $400 million project, whereas ‘The Dark Knight’ and ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ both crossed even $1 billion.
Nolan is surely a man of quality when it comes to his moviemaking skills. If we understand this, then WB definitely believes it when they hired him for the ‘Tenet’ movie. Regardless of whether the film will quadruple its budget or go beyond the billion marks, one thing for sure is that this new film will do wonders in the box-office.
