Selena Gomez Reveals A Kidney Surgery Inspired New Tattoo
Selena Gomez has gotten a new tattoo that commemorates her kidney surgery from back in 2017. Her dear friend Francia Raisa gave her one of her kidneys in a surgery she posted about in 2017. The 27-year-old Lose You To Love Me singer developed a complication from lupus, which she got in 2015. The new tattoo is visible in her latest album’s title music video, ‘Rare’. In December, Gomez said in a radio channel in the U.K that she got a new ink of the date of the surgery. She also told that her friend, Raisa also got the same tattoo.

This weekend, Selena Gomez posted pictures of her new music video of her latest album track Rare. There, a part of the tattoo is visible which was not present before. Just as she mentioned, the new tattoo surely shows a part of figure six, marking the date of June in which she got her kidney transplant surgery.
The tattoo can is also visible in the music video which features her inside some sort of a garden with butterflies. Her recent post is below:
It was in September 2017 when Selena Gomez revealed that she had kidney surgery. Her special friend Raisa donated a kidney to the Good For You star after organ damage caused by lupus disease. Gomez posted a photo of her and her friend holding hands in the hospital beds.
“She gave me the ultimate gift and sacrifice by donating her kidney to me. I am incredibly blessed. I love you so much sis.”
About her latest album, Rare, Selena Gomez said that it gives a message of “Self love, acceptance, and empowerment.” Her previous songs “Look at her Now” and “Lose You To Love Me” are considered to base around her previous relationship with Justin Bieber.
“I think all I want for this record is for people to make it their own…for people to turn these messages into something great.”
