Joe Sugg Is Excited To Be A Part Of The Show
Joe Sugg was the one who broke the news. On his Instagram, Sugg shared his picture wearing a kitchen apron which says “Stands Up To Cancer”. Joe mentioned that the announcement of the show is his first bit of “exciting news” of 2020.
The YouTube sensation Joe Sugg captured a lot of attention after coming second in 2018’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’. Later he returned for a Christmas special where he was yet again close to winning. With hopes high, he will now come on to a baking show to try a different skill.
During the competition, each episode will feature four celebrities who will “bake” it out in Signature, Technical and Showstopper baking segments. The aim will be to impress judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith. Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding will also be there to share the stages with contestants, giving their usual witty and hilarious commentary.
Sarah Lazenby from Channel 4 spoke with DigitalSpy about the show’s collaboration with the charity organization:
“The Great Celebrity Bake Off is a key ingredient in our Stand Up to Cancer recipe. We’ve seen the power of using comedy and entertainment to bring awareness and raise millions of pounds to fund pioneering cancer trials. We hope viewers will enjoy this year’s line-up of famous bakers, there’s never a dough moment as each bring something fresh and exciting to the tent.”
The greatest baking competition, featuring Joe Sugg, will return on television soon, in early 2020
