Shane Dawson Sneakily Launches New YouTube Channel
We were starved for content from Shane Dawson last year and he did not disappoint. He gave us a long docuseries featuring his makeup product launch with Jeffree Star. Though, it seems like he went on a YouTube hiatus for a while. Fans were noticing that he hasn’t been that active on his social media as well and were curious about his return.
The new channel is about makeup
Now, Shane Dawson is the master of YouTube because he sneakily launched his new YouTube channel. Guess what, folks? It’s a makeup channel. Yes, people, Shane is officially becoming a makeup guru on YouTube. He is joining the beauty community of YouTube, the likes of which include Jeffree Star himself, James Charles, Tati Westbrook, Jaclyn Hill, and Nikki Tutorials.
The new YouTube channel is named after his iconic lipgloss ‘Shane Glossin’. It will contain all of Shane’s experimentation with makeup and even slime videos. Moreover, it is going to showcase the deleted scenes from his beauty series with Jeffree Star!
Regarding the new YouTube channel, Shane Dawson wanted a separate channel for just showcasing makeup related videos. Though, he still doesn’t claim to be a guru:
Don’t worry, I’m not trying to be a guru or anything! I just thought it could be a fun hobby and cool to have a low-pressure place to post stuff like that.
He might even use the new YouTube channel to market his future beauty products. After all his docuseries with Jeffree Star definitely created a lot of hype for his new makeup palettes. The Conspiracy Palette and the Mini Controversy Palette sold out in hours after the launch.
Many people attack Shane Dawson for only appearing to be interested in makeup to make some sales but he has responded to these comments:
I play with makeup almost daily. I just don’t post about it because I’m not in the mood to post. After a series, I tend to gain weight, spiral, and hibernate for a couple months…I promise my passion for it hasn’t died. It’s one of the only things that makes me happy and calm. I bring my brushes everywhere I go.
