Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 Will Be Huge For Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord

James Gunn is associated with Marvel and its Guardians of the Galaxy franchise since its start. After two successful box office releases, who else will be more suitable to release Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3? James Gunn has always given individual screen time to the movie’s characters, slowly building up their arc. Apparently, Volume 3 will be no different from the rest. This is because the writer and director have given a hint that something big is coming, especially for Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 To Feature Something Big

It was during his Instagram’s Q&A session that James Gunn hinted at something big. During the session, one curious fan asked him:

“Which Guardians character arc was your favourite to write?”

To this, Gunn replied:

“Those are two of them for sure. I probably liked writing nebula and Rocket’s arcs most (still continuing into Vol 3). But I also think we have great things coming up for the others. like Quill and Mantis. All of their arcs take place over the three films as opposed to in only the individual movies.”

Now, “great things” for Chris Pratt or other’s characters do not generally mean good things. Back when Gunn said that Rocket’s story has come to an end, we were thinking that the character will probably die in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3. This looks even more evident if we see how the Guardians of the Galaxy movies have a trend of taking out a role after their story is complete. Similarly, we can also think the same way for Quill and Mantis, or even Star-Lord.

However, perhaps this will change since the movie is not going to start production anytime soon. James Gunn first has to work on a project for a DC movie before coming back to Marvel. This means that the release date for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 is only going to be early 2023. With the release date so far away, maybe it is time to give a rest to such predictions.
