Marvel Comics To Team Fantastic Four And Avengers In Upcoming Comic
The year 2020 has only just begun and already we are getting news from Marvel Comics of, what they are calling, “the Earth-shattering Event of 2020”. Marvel Entertainment has announced Empyre comic storyline with a very unique set of heroes. The story will feature Fantastic Four teaming up with Avengers as they stand against an oncoming alien attack.
Marvel Comic Announce ‘Empyre’ Comic Series
The new Marvel Comic will launch in April, a story written by Dan Slott and Al Ewing. Meanwhile, Valerio Schiti is given the job for its artwork. Tom Brevoort, the executive editor, explains that the story will grow from several important events:
“grows out of a number of key Marvel stories including the Kree-Skrull War, the Celestial Madonna Saga, the origin of the Young Avengers, and a bunch of others.”

While there is not much to tell about the details of the story, there is some idea though. CBR reports that the upcoming Empyre will feature a prevailing conflict between Skrull and Kree Empires. Unfortunately for Earth, the planet is caught in between their galactic war. And so, as the war intensifies it is up to the Avengers and Fantastic Four to pull Earth into the safety zone.
Before the launch of the new Marvel comic, there is going to be a release of a prelude one-shot story, “Road to Empyre: The Kree/Skrull War”. This will a story by Robbi Thompson, Javier Rodriguez, and Mattia de Iulius. This story will shed light on the longstanding conflict between Skrulls and the Kree. Here, the main characters from a previous story of Meet the Skrulls miniseries will play a major role.
With not much to report right now for the upcoming Avengers X Fantastic Four story, we can only wait for now. Empyre # 1 is coming out in April, so mark your calendars!
