Star Wars Honors UNC Charlotte Shooting Victim As A Jedi Master
How awesome would it be if the actual Star Wars franchise awards you as a Jedi Master? Unfortunately for Riley Howell, the honor came after great sacrifice and with a superheroic act. The 21-year-old victim of UNC Charlotte shooting is a hero for stopping the terrorist. The event took place in April, but Star Wars had this planned out a few months ago, only to reveal it later.
Riley Howell Is Star Wars’ Force-Wielder
Howell had the maximum courage in him when he decided to charge at the shooter. He tackled the terrorist who opened fire in a classroom on campus in April. Due to his actions, the shooter fell to the floor, stopping him and allowing the police enough time to take him in custody. The whole of the UNC Charlotte community, including the neighborhood and family, heralds Riley Howell as a hero.
He was a super-big fan of Star Wars and due to his love for the franchise, he got the rank of a Jedi. This first began when Riley’s love for Star Wars was highlighted. Even his brother mentioned his love for the franchise in interviews. Later, a Florida man contacted Lucasfilms via email to tell them about Riley Howell’s actions. Finally, the family was tipped off by the productions in May that they are planning to take his name up for a character.
A visual dictionary of the new movie “The Rise of Skywalker” is released which gives more details about the movie itself. In the book, a brief reference is given which states: “Jedi Master and historian Ri-Lee Howell.”
The Howells received a letter from the Relations Team. The department mentioned keeping this news a secret until the release of the movie. Now that is out, we can see what the letter wrote:
“Riley’s courage and selflessness brings out the Jedi in all of us. We hope you may rejoice in his memory, and we join you in honouring his life and example. As a small tribute, our Stry Group has incorporated a re-imagining of Riley’s name as a character in the Star Wars galaxy.”
May the Force be with you always, Riley!
