Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 Receives An Update From James Gunn
We all know that ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3’ is coming out someday. Thor’s story ends with him flying alongside Star-Lord and that’s it. With all eyes and focus on the new phase four of Marvel, James Gunn has provided us with an update about the movie as well.
James Gunn’s Returning For ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 3’
It was huge news when Disney fired James Gunn from the Marvel franchise. After the decision, Gunn shifted to DC to start working on The Suicide Squad. The fans were not happy letting go of such a remarkable director for Marvel. Perhaps that is why Disney rehired him during his work with DC.
While the script for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3’ is ready, there is no telling when will the movie actually start production. In fact, it is most likely that Gunn will first complete his DC movie and only then he will formally join Marvel to continue with Volume 3.
“Won’t start filming for a year or so.”
When he says that ‘Guardian of Galaxy Vol 3’ will not start filming for a year, this means that the movie’s release date is probably going to be either 2022 or 2023. Marvel Studios have two slots for 2022, and four in 2023. Right now, it is too far-fetched to predict anything. Even so, what do you guys think will be the release year of this movie?
These are stars that are expected to return for ‘Guardians of Galaxy Vol 3’: Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Dave Bautista, and Vin Diesel. Although Chris Hemsworth’s Thor joined Star-Lord in the end, it is not sure if he will appear in the next movie as well. We do know that the director has planned big things for Star-Lord and Mantis.
The movie’s production was to begin in January 2019, meaning that the movie would have released in May 2020. However, James Gunn’s removal from parent company Disney delayed everything. Unsure about how this will impact the storyline, we can only find out in either 2022 or 2023.
