‘You’ Season 2 Detailed Trailer Is Pretty Interesting

0 450

You Season 2 is coming, and so are the spooks. Netflix just released the extended trailer and we have an idea of just how creeped out we’ll be getting this time around.

Netflix ‘You’

The first season of the show is based on a book-store employee Joe (Penn Badgley) and his stalker-ish conquest to find love, Guinevere Beck. (Elizabeth Lail).

As he pursues the intellectual-girl, the audience gets to delve into the mind of a sociopathic serial-killer, and his internal thought-process. The ending of the season was not just thrilling; it was ‘unexpectedly haunting’.

And it ended with a cliffhanger; the return of Joe’s (Penn Badgley) former flame, Candace (Ambyr Childers) who was presumably dead.

‘You’ Season 2  Extended Trailer

So, we just watched the trailer of You Season 2, and “shook!” is the word.

There is SO much going in the spine-chilling Netflix ‘You’ season this time. Joe Goldberg moves to L.A. to start over. But it’s established that his past and secrets are still lingering with him.  He says in the start:

It’s hard to have a fresh start……….

when the past is on your mind.

And then comes the presumably dead ex-love of his life, Candance (Ambyr Childers)

“We have some unfinished business” we hear her say. There is also a glimpse into the blood-curdling abuse she had faced at the hands of Joe. In ‘You’ Season 2 Candace’s presence becomes a constant reminder of his past. We think we’ll be finding out her complete story in this season.

All the while he settles into his new home, with a new identity and name, Will Bettelheim. We also got the hint that Will is a rich guy. But, his social (& creep) stats are the same. He is seen meeting his new landlord who comments:

Your credit came back sparkling, Will.

But I looked you up, you’re not on the socials.

Thought you might be some kind of freak.

And he is.

“Hello, You” we hear in Joe’s voice. And there comes the new lead and love-interest, Love, (Victoria Pedretti).

Candace will keep Will checked?

The best part is Candace as she stays in the scene to finally take revenge. She even tells Joe his current biggest secret.

“You did it again, didn’t you?”

There’s a lot of drama, suspense, action and…. blood. If there’s one more thing that deserves utmost appreciation? The trailer soundtrack is a hauntingly beautiful cover of Radiohead‘s “Creep”.

So will history repeat itself? Or will Joe find his love? Or will he finally face revenge? We are on the edge waiting for You Season 2. It debuts on Netflix on December 26.
