Rose McGowan Reacts To Harvey Weinstein’s “I’m Forgotten” Claim
Harvey Weinstein, one of Hollywood’s biggest producers was accused by over 30 women for sexual misconduct, ranging from harassment to rape. This sparked the #MeToo campaign; one of the biggest movements to empower victims all over the world. Weinstein is currently in the news for a recent, bitter statement he made. And actress Rose McGowan has slapped one back at him.
Harvey Weinstein feels like a “forgotten man”
In his latest interview with NewYork Post, the 67-year-old producer complained. He said he deserves to be ‘remembered’ for his professional work with women more than anyone in history.
“I feel like the forgotten man.
I made more movies directed by women and about women than any filmmaker, and I’m talking about 30 years ago. I’m not talking about now when it’s vogue. I did it first! I pioneered it!”
Harvey Weinstein also stated that the accusations had completely discredited him and his work. The ‘alleged rapist’ continued to say:
“It all got eviscerated because of what happened,’’ Weinstein said bitterly. “My work has been forgotten.’’
However, he had denied any wrongdoing. Weinstein is to appear in court on January 6 in Manhatten Supreme Court.
Rose McGowan responds
In a chilling yet sad tweet, actress and activist Rose McGowan had something to say. Rose is among the women who had accused Harvey Weinstein.
In response to Harvey Weinstein’s “I feel forgotten” statement, she highlighted the details of his sexual abuse that she could never forget.
“I didn’t forget you, Harvey. My body didn’t forget you. I wish it could.”
I didn’t forget you, Harvey. My body didn’t forget you. I wish it could. I refused to sign an NDA after it happened because I knew I would come for you. And I did. This is about stopping a prolific rapist. You.

Furthermore, she shared that she had refused to sign the non-disclosure agreement in her case. This was to stop “a prolific rapist” Rose says.
In fact, 23 of his accusers also came out with a joint statement against him. The statement is their collective stance that Weinstein is in fact, gas-lighting (manipulating) the society.
