Backstreet Boys fans are angry at Good Morning America. During a performance by the band, ABC cut through to a special news report about President Trump’s meeting in UK. But this went totally unacceptable to the Backstreet Boys fans. They unloaded on the network, and asked them to explain why would they ever do such a thing.
Nick Carter, Brian Littrell, Howie Dorough, AJ McLean, and Kevin Richardson were performing their band hits on the show that morning. Including “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)” and “Larger Than Life”. Fans were so thrilled that huge numbers turned up to form lines around Central Park in New York City.
Just as the band got to the end of another crowd favorite song ‘I Want It That Way’, the network switched to the news clip. The ABC special report presented Donald Trump meeting the UK Prime Minister Theresa May in a live press conference. But Backstreet Boys fans don’t seem to care about it at all. They were furious that their performance was interrupted, and Twitter went crazy!
One fan even sent a warning to ABC written in all capitals. She wrote,
HEY @abcnews. DID YOU REALLY JUST CUT OFF THE END OF THE BACKSTREET BOYS FOR DONALD TRUMP? DO YOU NOT KNOW THE WRATH OF BACKSTREET GIRLS?
Another user was just so angry at her television showing Donald Trump and his conference. Her tweet exclaimed that,
THIS ABC “SPECIAL REPORT” BETTER GET. OFF. MY. TV.
One fan was so mad that she thought this could be the exact reason why people want to vote him out of office. She tweeted that,
He doesn’t know this, but this single moment is how millennials vote him out of office, not the policies, not the disrespect for ANY of our countries no….he interrupted the #BACKSTREETBOYSonGMA.
Other popular fan disappointed tweets were equally creative and funny.
I want Trump and May to break out into a coordinated dance number to BSB

After all this, ABC must have learnt their lesson. Never cut though a Backstreet Boys performance, or for that matter anything at all just to put Trump on television.
