The Crown is a phenomenal series starring Olivia Coleman (replaced for Claire Foy) as Queen Elizabeth. It has been rated 8.7/10 by IMDb. The shows follow the life of the Queen as she goes through various changes in her life. The show also shows the challenges faced while upholding the royal duties and responsibilities. Most recently, the directors of The Crown cast Emma Corrin as the beautiful royal Princess Diana.
According to Peter Morgan, creator of The Crown, Emma Corrin depicts the role of the graceful and elegant small-town girl turned royalty, perfectly. In an interview with Vogue, he stated the following regarding the new cast addition:
As well as having the innocence and beauty of a young Diana, she also has, in abundance, the range and complexity to portray an extraordinary woman who went from anonymous teenager to becoming the most iconic woman of her generation.
This sure builds our interest in the new introduction.
Emma Corrin’s views on being in The Crown Season 4
It must be so exhilarating to play the role of a royal as inspiring as Princess Diana. For Emma, her dream to be a part of one of her favorite shows has just become a reality:
Princess Diana was an icon, and her effect on the world remains profound and inspiring. To be given the chance to explore her through Peter Morgan’s writing is the most exceptional opportunity, and I will strive to do her justice!
We believe a good actor is only as good as their connection to their team and management. Being a part of a show as The Crown, it is helpful that she has had a personal connection to the show.
Even though season 3 just released on November 17th, we cannot wait for The Crown season 4! It will be so exciting to watch the introduction of Diana into the royal series.
