Daniel Craig’s ‘No Time to Die’ Sees its First Official Trailer
Bond 25 of the James Bond movies will be Craig's last
Number 25 of the James Bond movies is the end of the road for Daniel Craig but might be the beginning of a new era. Cary Joji Fukunaga directed No Time to Die just got its first official trailer and might have some clues regarding the future of agent 007. The upcoming Daniel Craig movie will release in April next year.
‘No Time to Die’ Trailer | What does it tell us about the Future?
Bond 25 is penned by Phoebe Waller-Bridge who has previously worked on Fleabag and Killing Eve. The James Bond franchise has a history of keeping agent 007 alive throughout the years. From Sean Connery to Daniel Craig, the creators always seem to come up with a new actor for the role and this might be happening once again.
We know that Daniel Craig will not be seen as James Bond after No Time to Die. There are no plans to discontinue the franchise either. So who will embody the role this time? It’s unclear at the moment but judging by some previous rumors and a few hints in the trailer we can try and speculate that it could be Naomi (Lashana Lynch).
Who will replace Daniel Craig?
A couple of lines from No Time to Die official trailer is rather interesting. During a scene with Daniel Craig, Naomi said:
The world has moved on Commander Bond [James Bond].
You [Daniel Craig] get in my way and I will put a bullet in your knee … the one that works.
The rumors suggesting Lasha’s casting as the next James Bond coupled with this hard-hitting introduction could mean she might be the future Bond. Though, the actor himself has stated that he’d love Game of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke to be the next Bond. This comes after we found out Idris Elba playing the next James Bond was merely a rumour.
The trailer does not confirm anything though. At this point, it’s just speculations. I guess we will have to wait on this one. The film will hit the screens on April 10, 2020.
