Kpop Stars Jung Joon Young & Choi Jong Hoon Sentenced on Charges of Rape
The kpop industry isn’t all sunshine and colors, it has also got a dark side to it. And Jung Joon Young along with Choi Jong Hoon is part of that dark side. Actually everyone from the Burning Sun Scandal.
Jung Joon Young and Choi Joon Hong Sentenced
Singer-songwriter Jung was given a six-year sentence for drugging a woman and raping her while she was unconscious. He was also sentenced for distributing a video of himself having sex with her. Choi, a member of the FT Island band, was sentenced to five years in prison.
Though both singers insisted that the intercourse was consensual, the judge wasn’t convinced. According to Yonhap News Agency, the judge is reported to have said:
Jung and Choi took part in gang rape of victims who were intoxicated and unable to resist. It is hard to fathom the extent of suffering the victims must have gone through.
The judge said that Jung Joon Young and Choi treated their victims as “sexual objects” to be exploited and that the two men “should assume social responsibility in proportion to their fame and wealth.”
2019 has been a dark year for the kpop industry. Several scandals involving sex and drug abuse have come out. One of which included B.I leaving IKON. Though B.I is yet to be proved guilty, the members of the Burning Sun Scandal are all guilty. Though two of them have been punished, we hope all the leeches associated with the scandal get punished soon.
Jung Joon Young got six years of imprisonment while Choi Jong Hoon got 5.
