The Weeknd & Mercedes-Benz Release Blinding Lights
Keeping up to our expectations, The Weeknd has dropped both his new singles this week. First, we listened to the badass (and NSFW) ‘Heartless’ that clearly has many connotations. And now, the much-anticipated ‘Blinding Lights’ and its music video, which is also a collaboration with Mercedes-Benz, is out. Abel Tesfaye served it all and now we’ll pass it on.

Wait… we noticed Bella Hadid drop something too
So, before the new music release, Abel had tweeted that new music wad coming tonight. In brackets, he added, “In HQ ;)” hinting at the exciting new music video. In fact, he was releasing teasers from few days.
Unexpectedly, the ex-girlfriend of The Weeknd (Abel Tesfaye), Bella Hadid tweeted this…
Wait I miss you and love you tho, remember that♥️
…
Ok goodbye again— Bella Hadid (@bellahadid) November 27, 2019
This seems like a clear message for Abel Tesfaye as per fans. Xo fans were quick to catch on and rushed in to the scene with responses for Bella.
Clearly the two still have some unresolved business (or emotions) going on.
Blinding Lights is here!

The all-new track by The Weeknd is here now. ‘Blinding Lights’ accurately represents the king we stan, classic’The Weeknd’ style music with mesmerizing notes and his buttery-smooth swooning voice.
We love the lyrics because of how simple yet meaningful they are:
I been tryna call
I’ve been on my own for long enough
Maybe you can show me how to love, maybe
I’m going through withdrawals
Oh, our heart. Does The Weeknd miss Bella Hadid too? What’s going on…
I can’t see clearly when you’re gone
I said ohhhh I’m blinded by the lights
No I can’t sleep until I feel your touch
I said ohhhh I’m drowning in the night
Oh when I’m like this you’re the one I trust
The last line is dark. Did The Weeknd really lose himself in the process and is he referring to insomnia he had a few weeks back?
Well, ‘Blinding Lights’ is our favorite from the latest releases so far.
The Weeknd in A New Music Video feat Mercedes-Benz ECQ
The all-new Mercedes-Benz ECQ model is launching. And the new music video for ‘Blinding Lights’, featuring Abel Tesfaye driving the stylish new ride, is nothing short of amazing.
It starts with Abel walking up to his ride when a young boy asks him “Whoa, you drive electric?”
The music video is an interesting blend of past and present, both depicting the class, beauty, and speed of Mercedes that is always timeless. It takes you on a ‘car eye-candy’ journey with various Mercedes models being driven by diverse people from different times. And of course, Blinding Lights playing in the background.
At the end of the video, The Weeknd responds to that boy saying, “What do you mean I drive ‘electric’? I drive Mercedes.”
We’re not exaggerating when we tell you that it is a must-watch for The Weeknd lovers. But if you’re also a car lover than treat your eyes with this new video and thank us later.
This is sooooo cool and seeing all those retro mercs gave me chills
