During Whittaker’s first season as The Doctor, she majorly battled new aliens. Tim Shaw alien was one of those that appeared. Coming back in the first episode of Season 11, it went on to become the final villain of that season. Later, the show’s New Year’s Day special brought back a single Dalek for The Thirteenth Doctor to battle, but perhaps the audience wanted something more. Therefore, this season 12 of Doctor Who will showcase an epic fight between The Doctor and the Cybermen. You can watch the trailer below:
Cybermen Comes to Season 12 of Doctor Who
Cybermen are one of the first returning villains on the tv show Doctor Who. The last time they appeared was in Season 10, which starred Twelfth Dr. Peter. This was when his companion Bill Potts gets turned into one of the Cybermen. There were rumors that the Cybermen might return in the coming seasons to take on the Thirteenth Dr. With the release of the trailer (shown above) we now have proof that all of those rumors are true.
Unfortunately, the trailer is incredibly short and does not give us many details about the new season 12 of Doctor Who. Without mentioning the premiere date, we can only speculate that the season is set for release in early 2020, perhaps the first quarter. We think so because this might be a good time for HBO to complete setting up its own streaming service called HBO Max. This way they may be able to shift the new season onto the streaming platform.
The trailer for Season 12 of Doctor Who is thrilling and full of action. We can only imagine what may go down when Cybermen meet The Doctor in an epic confrontation which can be seen as the show’s greatest rivalries.
