Coldplay Chooses Environmentalism | Cutting Down Music Tours
So what if Donald Trump decides to take off from the Paris Accords? We have several other ways by which we can contribute to saving the environment and planet Earth. For example, Coldplay came up with a unique solution. Chris Martin and the company confirms that they will tour for their new album Everyday Life in a different way from now own. This would be in line with their environmentalism approach which they acquired during the making of this album.
Coldplay Seeks To Build A Better Planet
As reported by NME, Chris Martin told BBC that they are planning to start their tour for latest album Everyday Life in a way that is better for the environment. The recently released two-part album saw a unique release style as the band traveled to Amman, Jordan to perform both parts, Sunrise and Sunset. We do not know which environment-friendly ways did Coldplay take to get to Jordan. However, the British band confirmed that they would not tour their record in traditional ways. Martin said:
“We’re taking time to see how our tour can be actively beneficial…All of us have to work out the best way of doing our job.”
Coldplay concert might become slightly less in size it seems. Chris also said that he has been thinking about this idea for a very long time. He is content that other artists are on board with this as well.
Lead singer of Coldplay also mentioned the criticism that he might get from fans all over the world who are waiting for Coldplay concerts and tour dates. Fortunately, he admitted that he is thick-skinned and can be a human punching bag if necessary.
In the other interview, Chris explained that the album Everyday Life is proof that they are pointing towards environmentalism. He said that it reflects their feelings for the environment. This can be seen after looking at the sort playing list Coldplay’s new album contains. Several of their songs reflect one issue among humans or the other. He said:
this record is us saying we don’t feel different from any human on earth.”
Greta Thunberg, the young environmentalist raising awareness of global warming and climate change crisis, would certainly be proud!
