Everyone was heartbroken to see Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man die at the end of Avengers: Endgame. Especially, when we saw Tom Holland’s Spiderman reaction to it. Now, we may never see these two Marvel characters together in a screen again. But fortunately, there’s a movie coming where Tom Holland and Robert Downey Jr. are reuniting. The movie is Dolittle and along with these two MCU stars, it also stars Emma Thompson and Rami Malek.

What’s Dolittle About?

The movie Dolittle will revolve around a physician finding out that he has the ability to communicate with animals. It’s going to be a fantasy filled movie where Doctor Dolittle embarks on crazy adventures. Of course, he’s not alone.

He’s accompanied with his animal friends which, as far as the trailer can show, a gorilla, a giraffe, a duck and a parrot. While not many details of the plot are known, the movie certainly seems like an interesting watch. Plus, Robert Downey Jr.’s confusing Welsh accent is going to be entertaining to witness on its own.

Cast and Crew of the Upcoming Movie Starring Robert Downey Jr.

It seems like the movie’s producers did not want to take any chances with the movie. Hence, they collected a great star-studded cast with them. Apart from MCU’s Iron Man portraying Dolittle, Antonio Banderas and Michael Sheen will be taking on live action roles.

The witty animals in the movie are going to be voiced by big names. Sense and Sensibility’s Emma Thompson, Bohemian Rhapsody’s Rami Malek, WWF wrestler John Cena, Silicon Valley’s Kumail Nanjiani, Spiderman’s Tom Holland, Harry Potter’s Voldemort actor Ralph Fiennes, pop-star Selena Gomez, and Inception’s Marion Cotillard. The movie also stars stand-up comedian Craig Robinson who was in This is the End. The Help’s star Octavia Spencer is also a part of the Dolittle voice cast.

The director is Stephen Gaghan who has also directed other movies such as Syrianna and Gold. Gaghan is also developing the screenplay along with Chris McKay, Thomas Shepherd, and John Witthington. Hugh Lofting’s book inspires the character Dolittle in the movie.
