This upcoming Netflix movie will be Vanessa’s second movie in a row releasing on Christmas. Last year, 2018, the former Disney Channel star worked for The Princess Switch, which was also for Netflix. Moreover, according to pop culture, she has her next holiday special movie planned already. The Princess Switch: Switched Again is releasing in cinemas in 2020.

The movie premise is that Brooke (Vanessa Hudgens) finds herself in an odd situation ever since striking Sir Cole (Josh Whitehouse) in her car. That was when their lives have intertwined.

“We all grow up fantasizing about finding true love with a knight in shining armor and living happily ever after, but that’s all it is — a fantasy,” says Vanessa in the trailer. Brooke runs her car over a man, whom she thinks is only dressed as a knight. Little did she know that the man was a knight, her knight in shining armor.

In an interview with PopSugar, Hudgens explains that this storyline would not be much different than the Christmas movie which she did last year. However, in this, her character will be unique. She said that she likes doing things twice and so this opportunity was something that she could not pass.

On the other hand, Josh Whitehouse, or Sir Cole, previously rumored to feature in Game of Thrones prequel. According to ScreenRant, rumors were that he was cast as The Long Night, a prequel we once waited for to happen. However, those rumors have died as HBO announced the actual prequel.

Netflix’s The Knight Before Christmas will be available to stream on Nov 21st, near midnight for those on the west coast.
