Taylor Swift Demands Justice From Scooter Braun and Scott Borchetta

Taylor Swift is under the pressure of tyrannical rule, and she is speaking up about it. The singer has shared her story and is appealing to fans for help against Scooter Braun and Scott Borchetta.

Swift’s feud with Braun has been on-going since long before this. In fact, it might be possible that she is being bullied and controlled because of her row with him. She accused Braun when the ‘Kim & Kanye’ episode happened. She had called Braun out, who is also Justin Bieber’s and Kanye West’s manager for helping ‘Kimye’ secretly record their private phone calls.

The situation got worse when Bieber defended Braun and accused Swift of defaming him.

Taylor Swift speaks up against Braun again

Now, Taylor Swift has spoken up about Scooter Braun and Scott Borchetta from standing in the way of almost everything she is setting out to do.

How can they do that? Well, Braun bought the music record label company Big Machine for $300, which means he is technically the lawful owner of six of Swift’s albums. He also makes money from every song she released before this year.

According to Taylor, she is not allowed to have the rights to her own music…all because of a record deal she signed the mere age of 15.

She shared that Scooter Braun is clearly trying to ‘dismantle’ her legacy by doing this. She is now attempting to take back the rights to her old music.

Taylor Swift banned from performing her old songs

Scooter Braun and Scott Borchetta have basically used their legal ownership rights to bully Swift into not performing any of her old songs that she released from 2006-2017. The singer was planning to perform her nostalgic hits back-to-back on the American Music Awards this month.

Swift is also to receive ‘Artist of the Decade’ award on the show.

But the record-label owners have simply blocked her from show-casing her performance.

“Don’t know what else to do,” Swift wrote in a tweet while attaching screenshots of a long statement where she explains the situation Braun and Borchetta have put her in.

The conditions from Braun-Borchetta

Taylor also adds that she was offered a chance to get “one album back at a time” every time she records a new album with Big Machine music label. But her original contract with them has expired.

On top of that, Swift has now signed with Universal’s Republic Records Label already.

She was also told by Scooter Braun and Scott Borchetta that she cannot re-record any new versions of her old songs.

Swift described the behvaiour from them as, “Basically, be a good little girl and shut up. Or you’ll be punished.”

Netflix Documentary on Halt

A Netflix documentary was recently created to tribute Taylor Swift’s entire life and her achievements.

Of course, it contained snippets of her old hits as part of her musical journey. Well, now she’s even banned from using any of that footage too.

Additionally — and this isn’t the way I had planned on telling you this news — Netflix has created a documentary about my life for the past few years. Scott and Scooter have declined the use of my older music or performance footage for this project, even though there is no mention of either of them or Big Machine Records anywhere in the film.

A big question mark for Taylor Swift

Now Taylor has no idea how to maneuver out of this sticky situation. She says that the award performance or the Netflix show happening is now just a question-mark.

She called out to her fans asking them for help. The hashtag #IStandWithTaylor is now trending.

“Scooter also manages several artists who I really believe care about other artists and their work. Please ask them for help with this – I’m hoping that maybe they can talk some sense into the men who are exercising tyrannical control over someone who just wants to play the music she wrote”

We feel so bad for Taylor Swift and we hope that she finds her way out of this mess. Every artist deserves to enjoy and keep their own music.
