You lovers, get ready for an all-new season that is bound to be creepier, compelling, and even more stalker-ish than the first season. Netflix’s popular ‘You’ series is going to return to your screens soon and we have all the deets you need! Originally the show aired on Lifetime and was picked up by Netflix after season one. The streaming service confirmed You Season 2 , starring Penn Badgley, is coming VERY soon.

YOU Season 1

The first season of the show followed the life of Joe (Penn Badgley), a socially misfit, friendless, stalker who happens to be a book-shop manager. He then meets Guinevere Beck, an attractive college girl who he instantly feels infatuated to. The infatuation turns into an obsession. And this obsession becomes so dangerous and chilling, that it makes Joe do the craziest of acts. Even some horrific murders.

Without giving you any spoilers, we have to tell you… the end of the first season was as creepy as it could get. And it ended with Joe all alone, again.

The second season was long-awaited because it ended with a huge spoiler. Joe (Penn Badgley) meets a new stranger. But this might be someone from the past, someone who was apparently erased.

You Season 2 Release Date

DECEMBER 26 is the date, offically confirmed by the show’s producers. Are you ready to meet Joe again?

You Season 2 Teaser

Badgley broke the news in a tweet on Monday, Nov. 11. He declared that he was “ready for a fresh start.”

The Netflix teaser reveals a whole new set of characters. And all of them are new faces. This means we can look forward to an all-new story-line.

It also shows Joe smiling menacingly into the camera. This means Joe will still be Joe (Penn Badgley).  As creepy and enticing as he can be.

Season 2… what to expect?

In the all-new You season 2, Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgely) will be seen starting an all-new life. He will move to Los Angeles where he might just have a new obsession.

But this time, he will get interested in a new girl named ‘Love Quinn’. Now Quinn is the supposed opposite of Beck, in every way possible. She hates social media and she keeps strictly to herself. As she won’t have any of the qualities that Joe hadn’t liked in Beck, this story will be interesting too.

“I’m really excited for people to get to know Love,” Badgley said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

“She adds a dimension that hasn’t existed yet. There’s a side to Joe that we haven’t seen yet because her character, in some ways, is the polar opposite of Beck.”

This season will reportedly also be gorier and harder to watch than the last one. Yikes…. if that wasn’t bad enough already.

Badgley previously told ET that “there are some things I’ve done with prosthetic bodies in this season that were kind of nauseating as I did them, I will say that.”

Oh, we’re getting the chills already! Are you excited to watch You Season 2? Don’t forget to catch it on Netflix on December 26.
