The Marvel Cinematic Universe is always surrounded by fan-theories. Some are plausible and some are.. let’s just say.. a bit too creative. Paul Rudd recently joked that not using this one particular theory in Avengers: Endgame was a mistake. He argued that it would have made it much easier to kill Thanos. It’s hilarious.
Paul Rudd on the Alternate Way of Defeating Thanos
The star of Anchorman and Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet made an appearance on Hot One’s Interview. The show has a rather unique format. The celebs answer questions while eating some spicy food. While on the interview, Paul Rudd was presented with a fan theory.
We all know that his character (Scott Lang) in Marvel’s Ant-man, has the ability to shrink down to sub-atomic-size. He can also grow to giant proportions.
So one theory, in particular, stands out and it’s quite out-of-the-box. In the lead-up to Avengers: Endgame, fans started proposing that the Antman, (Paul Rudd) could technically shrink down and crawl-up Mad Titan’s bottom. Once inside, he can use his other power i.e; expanding to giant proportions. Thus killing Thanos instantly.
When asked by Sean Evans during the interview:
What do you make of the ‘Ant-Man kills Thanos by crawling up his butt’ meme?
Paul Rudd sighed-deeply, before responding:
I consider it a lost opportunity.
The epic response cracked everyone up. Rudd was there to promote season 2 of Netflix’s Living With Yourself. Don’t forget to share your theories too.
