Pixar Releases Teaser For Another Emotional Movie: ‘Soul’
The movie trailer for ‘Soul’ has been finally released. If you wanted to see a listless adult find a passion in his life before he becomes trapped in the world of souls, Pixar was definitely listening. It’s going to be heartfelt, emotional and probably laden with a deep message. That’s what Pixar’s schtick is anyway.
Trailer Shows Amazing Music, Adorable Animation and Heartfelt Message
The movie seems to be inspirational right from the start. We see adults stuck in monotonous routines that have quite frankly lost their souls. (Not literally)
Pixar is now just unabashedly releasing films targeted to listless, sad adults, and I am here for it. https://t.co/85pj3NNou1

Though, the narrator’s upbeat voice would awaken anyone’s gloomy spirits. The excited voice urges you to examine what you really want to do in this world:
“We only have a short time on this planet. You want to become the person you were born to be? Don’t waste your time on all the junk of life. Spend your precious hours doing things that will bring out the real you. The brilliant, passionate you.”
Furthermore, we see an adorable animation of what appears to be a manifestation of a soul. It’s similar to what we saw in the Inside Out movie.
What’s the Story?
As you would have probably guessed by now, Soul is going to make you cry. But it seems like it would be happy tears. It is going to revolve around a musician, Joe Gardner (Jamie Foxx) who has lost his passion. His soul escapes his body and he finds himself in a world where all souls are before they enter the earth.
There he finds an infant soul that is yet to be born, her name is 22. The adorable mini soul is voiced by Tina Fey. This casting choice was perfect since Fey’s voice fits with the groovy dance moves 22 pulls off.
The story is going to focus on Joe Gardner’s journey back to Earth.
Cast and Crew for Pixar’s ‘Soul’
The star-studded cast includes Jamie Foxx, Tina Fey, John Ratzenberger, Daveed Diggs, Phylicia Rashad, and Ahmir-Khalib Thompson.
Pete Docter serves as the director as well as the writer of the movie. He’s previously directed, written and produced successful Pixar movies such as Monsters Inc., Inside Out and Up. Yes, find any emotional Pixar movie and you will probably see Docter’s name attached to it.
Along with Docter, Kemp Powers is also the co-director.
Release Date for the Upcoming Pixar Movie
The movie is going to hit the theatres on June 19, 2020.
