HBO receives voluminous premiere ratings from its Sci-Fi fantasy, His Dark Materials last Monday. The eight-episode series adapted from the novels by Philip Pullman premiered 3rd November on BBC One (the UK) and on 4th November on HBO (the USA and global destinations). Expected to be HBO’s next Game of Thrones level series, will the HBO-BBC collab do justice till the end?
His Dark Materials Is Pretty Bright At HBO
Primarily, the series, which is conceived from a trilogy of fantasy novels, attracted 424,000 viewers for its first airing on HBO. However, the repeat telecast and web streaming collected 700,000 viewers in just one night. These figures, thus, made His Dark Materials the best series premiere across all platforms. Earlier in May, Chernobyl enjoyed the same repute.
