Brian Tarantina ‘Gilmore Girls’ Actor Found Dead At Apartment

The actor who worked in two of Amy Sherman-Palladino’s projects, Brian Tarantina, has passed away. The late actor worked in Gilmore Girls and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, both of which are works of Amy Sherman-Palladino.

According to HuffPost, the actor was found dead inside his New York apartment on Saturday morning. By the time authorities arrived, he was already dead.

Brian Tarantina’s cause of death is not discovered yet. However, a representative explained that lately, he was ill. Hence, he was recovering at home since then.

The actor had a recurring role in Sherman-Palladino’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. He featured as Jackie, an emcee at The Gaslight. This is where Rachel Brosnahan’s character “Miriam” performs. Tarantina joined the show in 2017 and also prepared to make an appearance in the third season.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Twitter account paid a tribute to the late actor, who posted this on Sunday:

The Gaslight won’t be the same without you. Thank you Brian Tarantina for sharing in all of the laughs. Sending love to his family and friends in this difficult time.

Miriam, or Rachel, remembered the Gilmore Girls‘ Brian Tarantina by calling him a “golden fu**ing weirdo” on one of her Instagram posts.

So deeply sad to hear about the passing of Brian Tarantina. He was hilarious and talented and kind and an all around golden fucking weirdo. Our family of weirds won’t be the same without him.

A Look Back At The Star’s Career

During his whole career, Brian Tarantina collaborated with Sherman-Palladino. He worked for the original Gilmore Girls series as Bootsy. Next, he reprised his role for the Netflix revival of the show in 2016.

Moreover, he has also featured in tv shows like Madam Secretary, ER, and The Black Donnellys. Recently he worked in BlacKkKlansman.

In January 2019, he won an Outstanding Ensemble at Comedy Series at Screen Actors Guild award. Other actors who share this reward are Zachary Levi, Tony Shalhoub, Marin Hinkle, and Rache Brosnahan.

Brian Tarantina was declared dead, at age 60, on November 2, 2019.
