Seth Rogen Denies Taking A Photo With Paul Ryan
You might never be able to say no to a politician. But some people just do that so well, you can’t help but applaud them. If you need another reason to adore Seth Rogen apart from his comedy, take a look at the man’s guts! The comedian refused Paul Ryan’s request for a selfie. And not just that, he gave him a little lesson right in front of Ryan’s kids!
During a summit on brain health, Seth Rogen ran into Paul Ryan with his kids. When the House Speaker requested for a photo, Seth Rogen directly blurted,
No way, man!
Obviously Rogen needed to give an explanation to the startled kids standing right there. In an interview with ‘The Late Show’, Rogen told the host Stephen Colbert that he gave Paul Ryan a piece of his mind right there. If rejecting the politician’s selfie request was not enough, Rogen just told him everything that’s wrong with him.
Seth Rogen basically said to the House Speaker that,
Furthermore, I hate what you’re doing to the country at this moment. And I count the days till you no longer have one iota of the power that you currently have.
Well, the comedian does have a heart. He expressed that doing this in front of Ryan’s kids was not something he loved. But then, he wasn’t going to be disloyal to his principles. For the innocent faces just witnessing this, Seth Rogen added,
They should probably learn that if they like a movie or song, the person who made that probably doesn’t like their dad that much.
That one definitely goes without saying though! I mean, who loves Donald Trump, or let’s say any of the men that actually are crazy enough to work with him. Trust me, if those little kids actually knew Rogen’s point, they would have willingly gone along!
If you look at it, it’s not just Seth Rogen rejecting a House Speaker’s request for a selfie. Let’s just say that taking a selfie with anybody for a comedian like him is not big deal. But he actually chose to say No and come out bad because he just wanted to stay true to what he believes. How many people these days actually have the courage to do that? Let alone in front of people like Paul Ryan! Rogen just passed on this message to his entire audience. Sticking to what you believe in is so important.
It’s not just something we admire in Seth Rogen’s particular behavior for that day. But rather something that we would love every celebrity to do. If they start voicing their views on what’s right in their opinion, so many of us out here might just find motivation to do so as well. Also, these guys are in such a better position to do something for the lot of us. If they don’t stand up for their beliefs, will we ever get rid of troubles like Trump? I seriously doubt it.
Seth Rogen, Bravo dude, you did it!
