The Episode Dedicated To Luke Perry
The premiere episode, telecasted on October 9th, in fact, is a tribute to late actor Luke Perry who played the character of Fred Andrew in the series. For the whole episode, KJ Apa was exceptional -all wrapped in emotions, fear and a sense of loss.

The most striking scene of the episode is the journey back to Riverdale carrying the coffin. The public flocked on paying tribute to the dead. This, however, is a real tribute to the legendary artist Luke Perry.
Archie’s performance was on heights when he visited the man who had hit his father. Yet, he controlled his agony after watching the young son of the culprit begging for his father’s safety. As a matter of fact, the young boy drove the car without a license. Fans can sense how artistically KJ Apa showcases twisted emotions in a single scene. Fury, surprise, and grief -all harmonized together.
Perry’s former 90210 co-stars Shannen Doherty, paid tribute to her co-star by appearing in the premiere episode as a stranger lady stranded on the side of the road. Fred died while saving the woman from an accident.

Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, RAS, the creator of this comic fiction has also penned the episode Perry had suffered a massive ischemic stroke on February 27, 2019. After a second stroke, he died on March 4 at the age of 52.
RAS, himself also paid tribute to the actor Luke Perry who died of a stroke this March.

Ted Sullivan is a talented television writer and producer popular for his ABC series Revenge, He, even, created videos for the 2008 Democratic National Convention and for the environmental political group Global Green USA. The former adjunct professor the University of Southern California Film School is currently writing some sections for CW’s Riverdale.
