What is Atypical?
The show focuses on the daily life of an autistic teenager. Sam (Keir Gilchrist), an 18-year-old who’s on the autistic spectrum. The first season began with Sam announcing that his therapist had encouraged him to start looking for love. As he grows more independent, Elsa (his mother) struggles to let go of her caregiver role, eventually embarking on an affair. Meanwhile, Casey (Sam’s sister) is accepted into a private school on an athletic scholarship.
What is Going to Happen in the Third Season?
The third season will see Casey continue to wrestle with her confused romantic feelings for Izzie. Questions will be answered whether Casey will break up with her boyfriend, Evan, or pretend that her and Izzie’s almost-kiss never happened?
The last episode of Atypical season 2 ended with Sam getting into a science university. Season 3 will hopefully see Sam tackling university life. New cast members including Sara Gilbert from The Big Bang Theory will be joining Atypical Season 3.
