David Harbour Shares His Nicolas Cage Fantasy
You may recognize David Harbour from the insanely popular Netflix show Stranger Things. He played Sheriff Hopper, a policeman who helps the gang of kids against the monstrous and inexplicable entities. On-screen, he’s a pretty serious actor. Off-screen, however, Harbour is a whole other person with an interesting sense of humor. Recently, he opened up about his Nicolas Cage fantasy. Yes, you read that right.
The actor posted a picture where he looked similar to Nicolas Cage. Referring to Cage as his sensei, Harbour shares his wish:
One day, Sensei, ONE DAY when the stubble returns and I FINALLY learn to wink, I will buy the ribbed white tank and stand amidst the ruins of a downed convict plane in some desert…I just know I will, I just knoooooow it
David Harbour Referring To 1997 Movie Con Air
The screenshot of Nicolas Cage was from a 1997 crime thriller movie called Con Air. It was about an ex-con and a former US Ranger stuck on a prisoner transport plane. The passengers end up gaining control of the plane, and well shit gets real.
It’s one of Cage’s most iconic roles with a white tank top and long hair. Maybe you didn’t know about the movie until just now. But David Harbour saw it in his 20’s so naturally it would be close to his heart.
Before we get to see the Stranger Things sheriff reenact his Nicolas Cage fantasy, we can watch him on SNL this Saturday. David Harbour is hosting along with musical guest Camila Cabello:
His other movie projects include Dhaka and Black Widow.
