Dear White People has been renewed for another season. However, the fourth season will be it’s last. It’s sad that the show is ending but fans are still delighted to hear about the upcoming season.

The show was based on the feature film by Justin Simien. Simien loves that his movie eventually led to a whole series at Netflix:

“I’m so grateful my little indie-that-could has made it to four seasons at Netflix. This show, along with the many talented storytellers it has brought into my orbit, has changed my life, and I can’t wait to create a celebratory final volume befitting such a transformative experience.”

Dear White People’s season 3 certainly had a lot of changes. Firstly, the narrator of the show (Breaking Bad’s Giancarlo Esposito) became an on-onscreen character. Moreover, we also saw Sam (Logan Browning) give her campus radio show over to another student Joelle (Ashley Blaine Featherson). Though, Logan Browning is going to return for Dear White People season 4. Along with her, we’ll see Brandon P. Bell, DeRon Horton, Marque Richardson, Antoinette Robertson, and Patrick Amedori. Simien and Yvette Lee Browser will be the show runners for the upcoming season. Let’s see what Dear White People season 4 brings after the last season got some mixed reviews. This is one of the many Netflix original shows that are ending next year. GLOW, 13 Reasons Why, Grace and Frankie and the animated series Bojack Horseman are all ending with their final seasons next year.
