HBO Partners ‘Rock The Vote’ For The Midterm Elections Voting Campaign

On National Voter Registration Day, HBO partners with Rock the Vote, instigating American citizens to vote in the midterm elections. HBO, the renowned Home Box Office Channel, has started a campaign with silent celebrities. These stars, in fact, are encouraging American people to speak out. The midterm elections will be held on Tuesday 5th November.

The National Voter Registration Day

The National Voter Registration Day is a national holiday celebrating US democracy. It is held on the fourth Tuesday of September. This year the National Voter Registration Day will take place on September 24, 2019.

HBO On An Election Spree

HBO, in fact, has released several digital videos in this regard. The most peculiar feature of these videos is that the  HBO stars remain silent on a single day, making voters realize:

This silent initiative, however, recalled the low voter turnout of 2016. So, for the 2018 midterms, HBO decided to influence the spectators with sententious stardom that persuades Americans to use their voices.

HBO is offering an online landing page to register voters. HBO collaborated with Rock the Vote in this drive. Moreover, the entertainment platform is triggering a college ambassador program with Rock the vote across 50 campuses with 100 ambassadors. It also offers voter registration drives and a text-to-register feature.

‘Rock The Vote’ Wants You To Poll

American people, in fact, can vote for the upcoming U.S. midterm elections. Midterm elections are in spitting distance with truncate deadlines. To boost up the number of voters, eligible to vote in November, several campaigns have started across all 50 states.

Carolyn DeWitt, Rock the Vote president and executive director, however, stated.“We’re thrilled to be collaborating with HBO on this effort, there needs to be a heightened awareness of the importance of all American voices, especially those of young people. HBO’s commitment to engaging their viewers and emphasizing the power of youth voters is not only inspiring but critical in helping make an unprecedented impact at the polls this election season.”

HBO And Other Brands Are Calling Americans To Vote In The Midterm Elections

As a matter of fact, all our favorite media elements, channels, websites, and apps are supporting American voters. In fact, big names like Levi’s, Patagonia, the Gap, Walmart, and the North Face, have also joined Rock the Vote in a “Time to Vote” challenge, It is, perhaps, the easiest procedure as voters can register themselves online from anywhere without getting into the glitches of approaching the registrar’s office or doing extra formalities.

According to HBO, it is the only brand that sat back and listened rather than telling voters what to do. Across social media their message of silence stood out loud and clear – and it showed.
