The Femme country -music band, The Highwomen, featuring Maren Morris, Brandi Carlile, Natalie Hemby, and Amanda Shires, will show up at the “Ellen Show” on October 3, 2019. In addition, Nacho Figueras will be an interview guest on the episode as well.
How The Highwomen Emerged
As a matter of fact, Amanda Shires wishes to create a female-oriented country group in response to the popular Highwaymen country band with members including Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson, and Willie Nelson.
It was not only Shires, but the lack of representation of women artists on country music radio and other musical green belt events have been a regular donnybrook. Later, Brandi Carlile, Morris, and Shires joined hands and consequently announced the girls-lead country band on April 6, 2019.

Besides other plugging promotions, the ladies band is making a pitch for their tracks at the famous Ellen Show. The show that averages around 4.2+ million viewers per episode.

It’s the three-times Grammy Award-winning artist Brandi Carlile, “The Middle” vocalist Maren Morris, ‘the Academy of Country Music’ winner Natalie Hemby and singer/violinist Amanda Shires.
We’re gonna be on The Ellen Show! I was so unprepared for how finally meeting Ellen after all these years would impact me personally. I can’t even imagine where I’d be today as an artist, a mother and a wife without Ellen Degeneres and what she did for all of us in 1997.
It was a complete thrill to be on her show and sing “The Joke” of all songs. She has paved the way for me to have was a profound honour.
Why Brandie Admires Ellen?
Brandi, the Seattle-based singer-songwriter has once performed a chilling version of “The Joke,” at Ellen’s show. She then became a real fan of Ellen as she stated:
