Ryan Reynolds Loves Fleabag Too, Just Like the Rest of the World

You know it’s a good TV show when Ryan Reynolds loves it too! Recently, the Deadpool star took to Twitter to express his love for the BBC dramedy show Fleabag. Of course, his short review of the whole two seasons is enough reason for you to go watch the show.

Here’s what the Green Lantern actor had to say:

. is so good I wish I’d never seen it.

Same, Ryan Reynolds, same.

As someone who’s seen the show, this one line makes complete sense. Fleabag is so heartbreaking and unbelievably good that you almost wish you hadn’t seen it. It makes you laugh, it makes you cry.

It envokes a plethora of emotions. But that is what we have come to expect from the brilliant Phoebe Waller-bridge.

What’s Fleabag About?

The show is about a young woman named Fleabag coming into terms with a personal tragedy. She deals with strained relationships in her personal life and a cafe that isn’t profitable enough.

The most unique aspect of Fleabag is how the story is told by the lead: Phoebe Waller-Bridge. She’s the creator, writer, and actress of the show. Waller-Bridge uses that chance to exercise total creative freedom and brilliance. She often breaks the fourth wall. Yes, she’s talking directly to the audience and allowing you into her world so that you can experience it. This is quite similar to what we’ve seen with Ryan Reynolds action movie Deadpool. The superhero often does that as well. This storytelling technique makes the whole fictional world all the more entertaining and exciting.

Sadly, Fleabag has ended after just two short seasons. We can possibly get a new Deadpool movie and who knows maybe Fleabag may make a cameo appearance. Stranger things have happened after all.

The official Instagram account of BBC’s Fleabag appreciated the sentiment though:

They captioned it using a line from the show itself. If you recognized it, you’re probably tearing up as I did.
