When zombies and monsters invade his hometown, scrappy 13-year-old Jack Sullivan teams up with his friends to survive the apocalypse; based on the popular book series. The show released yesterday on September 17th, 2019, on Netflix. The cast for The Last Kids on Earth includes Nick Wolfhard, Mark Hamill, Rosario Dawson, Catherine O’Hara, Bruce Campbell, and more talented individuals. The show highlights the work of Max Brallier, who wrote the book which the show is based upon. The executive producers for the show are  Max Brallier, Jennifer Twiner McCarron, and Matthew Berkowitz.

What isThe Last Kids on Earth About?

The orphan, Jack Sullivan had a pretty boring life before the apocalypse wiped out most of humanity. Now legions of undead roam the streets and monsters have free reign on their path to destruction. Jack, taking advantage of the apocalypse loves his new life. Rounding up his friends: nerdy tech expert/ best friend Quint, the reformed neighborhood monster-slaying bully Dirk and Jack’s not so secret crush the athlete June Del Toro. Living in their kitted out treehouse, they enjoy the freedom the end of the world allows by playing video games, eating junk food and battling zombies and monsters.

The Last Kids on Earth is developed and produced by Atomic Cartoons (a division of Thunderbird Entertainment). Brallier serves as showrunner alongside Scott Peterson (Phineas and Ferb).

The storyline is already being discussed in small scale forums all over social media. According to IMDb, the first season will be arriving with six episodes. We are excited!
