0 811

Just when you thought you have seen everything on Netflix, HBO Now and Amazon Prime, Apple announced their upcoming project, Apple TV+. It will be an over-the-top subscription web television service that will serve videos-on-demand. The best feature: it is ad-free. You can view Apple TV+ easily if you already own the Apple TV app. The service is launching on November 1, 2019, with a subscription fee of $4.99/month. Unlike Netflix, the 6th member of your family will stop feeling neglected as Apple TV+ offers a sharing option for up to 6 members. Here is a guide with brief details of the programs you can watch on Apple TV+. If you were seeing names of Jennifer Aniston & Reese Witherspoon, Servant, Jason Momoa and For All Mankind in your newsfeed, you’ll know the reasons why.

Apple TV+ | Dickinson | If The Rules Aren’t Fair, Break Them

In the Comedy genre, you will be watching Dickinson. It is focused on an era with Modern Sensibility. Hailee Steinfeld (singer and actress) plays the lead role of Emily Dickinson who is exploring gender, society and family restraints. The tagline of Dickinson stands true to its synopsis. Emily is a writer who is not fitting in the era she is born and she mostly stays in her imaginative world. Other cast members in this coming-to-age comedy series are Jane Krakowski, Toby Huss, and Ella Hunt.

As a matter of fact, Hailee Stanford has recently announced the release of her upcoming track “Afterlife” which is linked to the Dickinson series. Song comes out on September 19, 2019.

Jason Momoa In ‘See’ | A New Vision Of The Future

When fans were dropping Game Of Thrones Season 8 theories, few of them wanted to see Jason Momoa coming back to life before the season finale. The ladies wanted to see more of him as they were unhappy how things ended for Jason Momoa. However, there is a piece of good news for the ladies and other Momoa fans. You can subscribe to Apple TV+ and watch his upcoming series “See”. It is a drama based on a dystopian future.

A future when the human race has lost the sense of sight, and society has had to find new ways to interact, to build, to hunt, to survive. All of that is challenged when a set of twins with sight are born.

Jason Momoa is not one of those twins, he is actually the father of the twins. Momoa will be playing the character of Baba Voss, a blind man, a tribal warrior who fathers a set of twins born with sight. Other cast members include Alfre Woodard, Nesta Cooper, Sylvia Hoeks, Hera Hilmar and Christian Camargo. They say that Apple has spent bucket-load of money on this one. The team behind Apple Tv+’s “See” is mind-blowing. The producer of “The Planet Of The Apes Trilogy”, the director of “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire & Mockingjay”, the creator of “Peaky Blinders”.

See Season 2 has been renewed as well.

For All Mankind | The Race Continues

So far we have one comedy and one drama series, For All Mankind is a science fiction though. For All Mankind is a miniseries that explores what would have happened if the global race had never ended. The cast of For All Mankind includes Joel Kinnaman, Michael Dorman, Jodi Balfour, and Sarah Jones.

Apple TV+ | The Morning Show

Two amazing actresses in one comedy series, catch Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon in “The Morning Show” on Apple TV+. That’s not it, The Morning Show also stars Steve Carell. You should be sold at the cast alone. Jennifer Aniston plays Alex Levy who is a show host. However, she has to fight & retain her job when her partner from the last 15 years, Mitch Kessler (Steve Carell) is fired due to sexual misconduct (#metoo movement?). And her forced rival Bradley Jackson (Reese Witherspoon) is being set to take her place. The story of The Morning Show is a bit twisted but seems good.

Helpster | From The Makers Of Sesame Street

Apple TV+ had me at “From The Makers Of Sesame Street”. However, they are going big and modern with this one. Helpster will teach coding to your kids. Like seriously, your next generation can become a group of youngest coders after watching Helpster. They will learn how to solve problems, use their critical thinking skills, and learn an essential language.

M. Night Shyamalan’s ‘Servant’ | Doubt What You Believe

The plot of Servant is kept under wraps for this one. At least that is what IMDB says. However, the plot is reportedly based on “parents Dorothy and Sean Turner, who have hired young nanny Leanne to help care for their newborn child”. Lauren Ambrose plays Dorothy while Toby Kebbell is Sean Turner in the Servant series. Nell Tiger Free is Leanne, the servant. The parents soon find out things are not as they seem. “Servant” is a psychological thriller and it is bound to give you goosebumps. Moreover, Rupert Grint is also a part of the show. Rupert is the famous Ron Weasley from the Harry Potter series.

Others Shows On Apple TV+

Snoopy In Space, Ghostwriter (a reboot of the original), The Elephant Queen (a documentary with its global right acquired by Apple), A Project By Oprah Winfrey, Dear, Home Before Dark, Hala, Mythic Quest, and Truth Be Told are also few of the shows coming to Apple TV+. Out of all of these shows, For All Mankind, The Morning Show and See are expected to break the records.
