Luke Perry’s Co-star from Beverly Hills 90210 Will Be in Riverdale Season 4 Premiere
I'm not crying, you are.
Guys, say what you will about Riverdale. You can’t deny one thing. Luke Perry and his character Fred Andrews were the purest things on the show. It was wholesome energy that made the show interesting. That is why it was so heartbreaking when he suddenly died from a stroke a few months ago. Riverdale didn’t address it and even halted production for a while. Now, the creator has opened up about how Riverdale season 4 premiere is going to be a tribute to the late actor. Moreover, Luke Perry’s old co-star from the hit show Beverly Hills 90210, Shannen Doherty, is going to be starring in it.
The creator of the show Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa posted a sneak-peek into Riverdale’s season 4:

It shows a tearful Mary Andrews (Molly Ringwald) hugging Archie Andrews (KJ Apa). The caption is “No Words”. This clearly indicates that the upcoming season of the show is going to finally address Luke Perry’s death.
Plus, Luke Perry’s old co-star from Beverly Hills 90210 is going to be making an appearance in the tribute episode. This was a cameo that Perry wanted ever since the first season of the show.
In the San Diego Comic-Con Panel, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa stated that:
They were such good friends. When we were putting together this tribute episode, we wanted to make it as special as possible, and so we asked Shannen to do a pivotal, super-emotional role. She read the script and immediately said ‘yes.’ It’s very impactful
Shannen Doherty Confirms Her Role
