Aim for the skies. Or maybe wait till you’ve seen the trailer for the new Eddie Redmayne starrer The Aeronauts. The new Amazone Prime movie The Aeronauts features Felicity Jones and Eddie Redmayne in the lead and the first trailer for the movie is already out.

The Trailer for The Aeronauts Out Now

Amazon Prime dropped the trailer for its period drama film The Aeronauts on 29th August. In lead roles of the movie, former castmates Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones will work together. Both actors have previously worked together on another period drama film based on a true story. They were both in The Theory of Everything. It’s the movie that got both actors Oscar nominees, though Redmayne ended up winning in his category.

The Aeronauts is already a strong Oscar buzz contender from Amazon Prime. Firstly because of the actors and secondly because of the content. When you see the trailer you’ll understand why we say it’s Oscar bait.

The Plot of the Movie

The story is set in the year 1862. It is about a rich widow known as Amelia Wren, played by the brilliant Felicity Jones. She meets an ambitious young scientist, James Glaish (Eddie Redmayne) and the two embark on an extraordinary journey together. Amelia and James aim to have the greatest balloon expedition ever. Their journey is not an easy one. Yet the two are not afraid to battle against the odds.

The Aeronauts is scheduled to premiere at the Toronto Film Festival next month. The initial release for the movie is on December 6th for theaters. However, the movie will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime on 20th December.
