Cheesecake Factory Suspends Employees For Being Racist!
Cheesecake Factory in Miami Florida has suspended a few employees after they subjected a black customer to verbal abuse. The 22-year old black customer was wearing a ‘Make America Great Again‘ hat. And claims that the employees taunted and threatened him because he was wearing the hat.
Well, America was not very great this Sunday at Cheesecake Factory in Miami. A black man complains that he was singled out just because of his darker skin. And obviously, the red cap adorned with President Trump‘s favorite slogan- ‘Make America Great Again‘.
Eugenior Joseph- the victim visited Cheesecake Factory with his girlfriend’s family on Mother’s Day. Witnesses and victim informed The Daily Wire that a female employee at the Cheesecake Factory walked over to him, pointed at his ‘Make America Great Again’ hat, and signaled other employees to come. Soon, a dozen employees surrounded Joseph’s table and made threatening racist comments. Further, one employee even clenched his fists in the air in an attempt to scare Joseph.
Joseph claims that-
He got behind me and another co-worker came by and they were staring at each other and he fist bumped him and then he started looking at me, balling his fists, smacking his fists, trying to scare me. The employees were clapping and yelling, and just screaming things at me.
On hearing this unpleasant incident, senior director PR at Cheesecake Factory emailed a statement to Newsweek. She announced that,
No guest should ever feel unwelcome in one of our restaurants and we are taking this matter very seriously. Upon learning of this incident, we immediately apologized to the guests in person. The individuals in the incident have been suspended pending the results of our investigation.
However, Joseph claims that the Cheesecake Factory has not reached out to him or even apologized in person.
