6 Actors Who Came Out Of The Closet In 2017
Love is in the air, and the LGBTQ revolution is upon us!
Despite many who are against love such as that tart-face Mike Pence and sexually frustrated pastors, we saw numerous Gay actors fabulously come out of the closet in the year 2017. We hope that the humans are as tolerant as God is. We like to imagine that he spends most of his time looking at cats now since we gave a person like Trump control over the nukes.
Here’s the list of the 6 Actors Who Came Out Of The Closet In 2017:
1 Rutina Wesley
Famous for her role as Tara Thornton in HBO series, True Blood, Rutina Wesley came out like many others on Instagram. The star announced her engagement to a chef based in New Orleans, Chef Shonda claiming; “You are the sunshine of my life…”
I haven’t cried this many happy tears since I got a free pizza last year.
2 Brandon Flynn
The 13 Reasons Why actor officially came out in September and has since spotted with Sam Smith, the Lay Me Down singer.
He said in an Instagram post: “Equality takes courage; it worries me that too many people in this world lack the balls to stand up for what is right.”
Yes, we are shipping them very hard now.
3 Jordan Gavaris
The 27-year-old may have played the gay best friend in Orphan Black, but it wasn’t until June that he came out as a part of the LGBTQ+ society.
No wonder he was that good at the role.
4 Shannon Purser
Nominated for an Emmy after her role in the Netflix Original series, Stranger Things, Purser came out as bisexual on twitter.
Getting comfortable with your sexuality is a process,
she wrote. “It’s going to be okay. I wish I’d known that sooner… I know what it’s like to have anxiety about it. Especially trying to come to terms with it and my faith.” Her beloved character Barb would surely be proud, and so are we.
5 Kevin Spacey
Even we think Spacey had terrible timing when he came out as gay after being accused of sexually assaulting a 13-Year-old boy about 30 years ago. It’s safe to say we’ve taken him off the pedestal.
Of all the people to be accused this past year, Spacey stabbed us in our poor hearts and cackled as he turned the knife. Ouch.
6 Daniel Newman
With roles in the Walking Dead and the Dark Night Rises, the actor admitted his hesitance to acknowledge his bisexuality publically. He said the following in an interview with People Magazine:
I’m proud of who I am.
We’re proud of you too, and maybe a little sad. All the good actors are taken. Either by the fantastic LGBTQ+ community or sexual misconduct allegations. Who am I supposed to daydream about now?
