All hail Timothée Chalamet. Seriously, we’re not kidding. He’s the King in the new upcoming Netflix original film The King and once you’ve seen the poster, you’ll be hailing and kneeling.

It’s old news now that Timothée Chalamet would be playing the lead in David Michod’s Netflix film. However, it’s been a year since the fans have been waiting for any news about the release of the movie. There isn’t even a trailer released yet, let alone a release date. Though a teaser picture from the movie was released last month and the internet lost it. In the teaser picture, we see Timothée Chalamet sporting a bowl cut and look as magnificent as a King ought to be. The fans of the Call Me By Your Name star have been given another bread crumb. We’ve got the official poster now!! And we have to say it’s phenomenal. We can hardly wait for the trailer to release now.

The actor himself took to his Instagram and Twitter to post the picture of the official poster.

Everything We Know Of The King

The King is an upcoming film directed by the Australian director David Michod. The film will be premiering at the Venice Film Festival this year. Apart from Timothée Chalamet, the cast of the movie includes Joel Edgerton, Robert Pattinson, Ben Mendelsohn, Sean Harris, and Lily Rose Depp. The King is based on William Shakespeare’s “Henry IV, Part 1,” “Henry IV, Part 2, and “Henry V.” Chalamet stars as Henry V, who begins the story as a wayward prince.

Chalamet in Little Women

Beside from The King, Timothée Chalamet is also starring in Greta Gerwig’s Little Women. The trailer for it has already released and Chalamet is perfect as Laurie. Little Women also stars Saoirse Ronan and Emma Watson. Both these movies are expected of getting Oscar buzz and who knows, the Call Me By Your Name star might actually win an Oscar this time.
