For Millennials. By Millennials.
We live in an interesting pop culture age. Along with getting a constant stream of content, we also get to see a lot of behind the scene moments. The best part about this is knowing that your favorite cast members are all good friends behind the camera! That’s true for Amazon Prime’s The Boys, a tale about a group of vigilantes taking down corrupt superheroes. Recently, Jack Quaid (Hughie) made a heartwarming appreciation post about fellow co-star Nathan Mitchell (Black Noir).
Black Noir is a character in The Boys universe. While not much is revealed about him, we do know that he is worse than Homelander in the comics. He’s a replica of Homelander whose crimes are actually worse than the rest of the supes.
We’re still not sure if the showrunners Erik Kripe, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg would follow this storyline for Black noir or not. They’ve already made plenty of changes when they adapted the TV show from the comic book.
Either way, Nathan Mitchell plays Black noir really well. He never takes off the mask but he does leave behind an impact. You’re always curious to know more about this mysterious member of the Seven.
It would make the show much more interesting if they add an extra element to Nate Mitchell’s character. Giving him more screen time would definitely not hurt. Since The Boys season 2 is going to be bigger and better as per the showrunners, we can expect a lot of unexpected twists and turns. Nathan Mitchell’s Black Noir has a lot of potential to be the medium for those very plot twists.
They could make him out to be a vile villain like in the comics. Or they could take a 180 turn and make him out to be the good guy? Anything could happen. That’s what is so great about Amazon Prime’s The Boys.
The Boys premiered on 26th July 2019 on Amazon Prime. It stars Jack Quaid, Nathan Mitchell, Antony Starr, Karl Urban, Erin Moriarty, Chace Crawford, Dominique McElligott, Laz Alonso, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, Elisabeth Shue, and Jessie T. Usher.
