‘Last Man Standing’ Led By Tim Allen Returns on Fox TV
Almost after about a year that ABC rejected comedy TV show- Last Man Standing led by Tim Allen, FOX TV decided to order its seventh season. Tim Allen is going to return to FOX TV as the conservative Christian family man- Mike Baxter. Tim Allen’s co-stars Nancy Travis, Amanda Fuller, Jordan Masterson, Christoph Sanders, and Jonathan Adams have also signed up for the seventh season.
Tim Allen revealed his excitement and shared his views once this news was released. As cited by The Hollywood Reporter, this is what Tim Allen disclosed.
Excited? Team LMS was in the sixth inning, ahead by four runs, stands were packed and then for no reason, they call off the game. It leaves you sitting in the dugout, holding a bat and puzzled. Now we get the news from Fox that it’s time to get back out on that diamond — hell yes, I’m excited! When I heard the offer to create more episodes of Last Man Standing, I did a fist pump so hard I threw my back out. It’s the fans! I could not be more grateful for the fans. Who wrote petitions and kept up the passion and incredible support for the show. And a fist pump, ouch, for Dana Walden and Gary Newman at Fox for not only listening to the fans, but for making the bold move to bring ‘Last Man Standing’ back. I’m sure audiences will be curious to see what we look like after all these years. Oh, has it only been one year? Well, just goes to show you — a lot can happen in a year.
This news that Last Man Standing will be aired by FOX TV took a lot of entertainment outlets by surprise. Mostly because just a day before, FOX TV announced its cancellation of ‘The Mick‘ and ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’.
Tim Allen criticized ABC’s decision to not air the show anymore even when it enjoyed solid ratings. Many fans believed that Tim Allen’s political views influenced ABC to make this decision. Tim Allen attended President Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony as well. Tim Allen also compared being a conservative in Hollywood to ’30’s Germany’. Thus, creating a political controversy.
However, CEO’s of Fox TV did not mention politics as any reason to drive their decision of airing Last Man Standing. Instead, they announced that,
We wanted to put the show back together since its final taping a year ago.
Fans of Last Man Standing are desperate for the return of their favorite TV show. Some good laughs are definitely on the way!
