The start of the year 2019 game brought gloomy times for the multi-platinum Grammy-winning pop sensation Ariana Grande. The controversy is involving her ex-boyfriend’s (Mac Miller) death and break up with SNL star Pete Davidson engulfed Grande in a quicksand of negative media attention. Times were difficult, but Grande knew she had to stand up again, for herself, for the love of music, and for her devoted fans. There were a lot of explanations to give, and a lot of stories to tell. While the original tweet had asked Ariana to nominate her 3 best songs, the R&B artist remained careful as to not channel in any favoritism. Nevertheless, her fans mostly did all the work for her. Ariana Grande had enlisted popular writers and producers such as Tommy Brown, Max Martin, Ilya Salmanzadeh and Andrew “Pop” Wansel for Thank u, next. For Grande, Thank u next brought her immense critical and commercial success. While critics applauded the work for being cohesive and for marking a fresh start for Grande, the album also broke the record for the largest streaming week for a pop album, debuting with 360,000 album-equivalent units; thus, turning a huge profit.
Sweetener By Ariana Grande Will Also Complete A Year Soon
