You might recognize Hannah Simone from the Fox sitcom New Girl. The actress is a big book reader and what better day to tell you all this than today. Today is officially the Book Lovers Day and though we love you all, we’ve got to give the number one book lover award to Hannah Simone. You’ll agree with us once you see her latest Instagram post.

Hannah Simone Gushes About Her Love For Books

In her most recent Instagram post, Simone talks about one of the books that have impacted her life. In the caption, she writes,

When I was a quiet young 12 year old girl on the island of Cyprus, my dear friend Ali gave me a book by Toni Morrison called Jazz. It was a misprinted copy and an entire inch off the right side was cut off which meant that the last word off every line was missing. To understand the book you had to just use the context of the existing words. To this day it is the best book I have ever read. It knocked me over. I couldn’t believe someone could make me feel so deeply. It was Toni’s world and I never want to leave. She turned me into a massive reader who found comfort, escape and community in books. I thank her for giving me that world and for having me pick up a book over a remote when I need soul food. I will never forget her ❤️ 📖 “She is a friend of mind. She gather me, man. The pieces I am, she gather them and give them back to me in all the right order. It’s good, you know, when you got a woman who is a friend of your mind.” TM 1931-2019 (see my story for the book… yes I still have it)

It’s a lengthy caption we know but it’s worth every word.
