Reprisal Is Coming To Hulu December 6th
Hulu has ordered the Mena Massoud and Abigail Spencer starrer show for an early December release. The series, which follows a relentless femme fatale who- after being left for dead- leads a vengeful campaign against a bombastic gang of gearheads, comes from the stables of A+E Studios and The Littlefield Company.
Reprisal marks the return of Massoud to screen space following a recurring stint in Amazon Prime’s RyanVerse series ‘Jack Ryan’. While Massaoud has led several TV dramas in the past including Open Heart and The 99 (voice), the Hulu series gives him his first full-fledged lead role on a streaming service.
Reprisal Cast And Crew
Reprisal, a true gem in Hulu’s winter programming lineup, boasts a cast of noted fan-favorites. The All My Children star Abigail Spencer will topline the series as Katherine Harlow / Doris Dearie. The show will also include True Detective star Rhys Wakefield as Matty, Shane Callahan as Bru, Rory Cochrane as Burt, and David Dastmalchian as Johnson.
A recent report also suggests that Lea DeLaria, best known for Netflix prison dramedy Orange Is The New Black, will also appear on the show. The report also notes that DeLaria’s Queenie will have a direct tiff with Spencer’s Katherine/Doris.
Hulu greenlit the pilot from The Handmaid’s Tale producer Warren Littlefield earlier in February. Filming; subsequently, immediately began in Wilmington, North Carolina. And it continued for several months with a plan to wrap up in June. But, for undisclosed reasons, the filming is still going on for the show.
The ambitious revenge tale will have a hyper-kinetic pace, with several mystery arcs. It will also include a central rescue mission involving the lead’s niece.
