Camila Cabello Reflects on Struggles with Mental Health and Anxiety
The singer took to Instagram to share how she felt when she first started singing. While she was surrounded by singers who would perform for families, and put on talents shows, Camila was the exact opposite. Not only was she not comfortable in performing for friends and family, but she would sing and practice while they left only. In fact, she even cried when they tried to film her through a crack in the door. As a child, Camila Cabello described herself as anxious and incredibly nervous.
While explaining how she got to the point where she is, Cabello claimed that she feels that there are two different girls in her. While one Camila is terrified of strangers and the unknown, the other one knows what she wants in life. At many instances, the little one tells the other one to stay calm and get through things. The singer shared that she gives herself motivation by claiming that,
Let’s go. You’ll survive, and I’m not gonna miss out on this. Let’s go.
Camila Cabello claimed that this is how she made herself reach to the point where she is as a person. Every day, every individual gets to decide who they are, and what they want to do. Just because one never has been brave or social does not mean that they never can be. She claimed that she has herself gone through these phases pulling herself to perform in front of families and friends, and taking herself out to have fun. The singer gave encouragement to her fans telling them that,
Force yourself to do what you’re afraid of, always- and go after what you want and who you want to be, because you’re worth that. You’re worth the fight. It’s the most worthwhile one there is.
While fans don’t know what might have triggered the revelation, the encouragement certainly helped many!
