Carice Van Houten’s Emmy Nomination
Carice nominated herself for her character Melisandre in Game of Thrones. One might think HBO and the producers should have done that. Melisandre is nominated for best guest actress in a drama series. Other than her, Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy) and Gwendoline Christie (Brienne of Tarth) also self-nominated for the Emmys.
Game of Thrones has a total of 32 Emmy nominations this year. It also becomes the first series with most Emmy nominations since its debut.
Carice Van Houten is working in a TV mini-series titled Temple. She has also worked with one of her Game of Thrones co-star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jamie Lannister) in a crime-thriller movie Domino.
