It seems like The Good Place actress Jameela Jamil has finally made her voice heard. The influencer and model was recently recognized by TIME in the list of influential internet personalities. But looks like it’s majorly because of her firm stance against body shaming and the support of her campaign I Weigh. But YouTuber Liza Koshy is really happy that Jameela hit the mark despite Liza being on the list herself.
Jameela Jamil Recognized for ‘I Weigh’ As Influential Internet Personality
Jameela Jamil, famous for her role as Tahani Al Jamil in NBC comedy The Good Place, took to Instagram to share that it was officially Peak Tahani now that she made it to the list of influential internet personalities.
TIME recognized her for her work to promote healthy body images. With a following of 3 million, the Good Place actress has slammed many public figures including Cardi B and the Kardashian family for endorsing weight loss products. Not just that, but she is critical of airbrushing claiming it is a weapon against women. While there are many who disagree, Jameela Jamil promotes self-acceptance. She claims to be a support for those who might struggle with body image problems just like she did. Her I weigh community has been rapidly growing. The actress shared that,
Every time I speak out, my shame shrinks a little bit more.
Maybe, that’s what she is trying to do for others too.
With her latest post, YouTuber Liza Koshy is definitely impressed. She claimed that it was a peak for her to be on Jameela’s inspirational Instagram. She sent out her congratulations to the actress as well.
